At the beginning of the Lunar New Year, the festival atmosphere was upbeat. The New Year’s greeting party raised the curtain with an enthusiastic dragon dance performance, indicating a triumphant New Year for all the staff from Anqing Foreign Language School! Before the performance, Mr. Xu Haihong, Chairman of the School Union, gave his New Year’s greetings to all the teachers with the most sincere and poetic language and the most enthusiastic sincerity. He also wished beautiful Anqing Foreign Language School a prosperous and thriving year in 2019 bilingually and humorously.

The highly anticipated first program was the school leadership’s chorus ‘I Am Growing Up’ which was our new school song and conducted by Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli in person. The atmosphere was warm. All the teachers listened to the new school song for the first time and they all wished Anqing Foreign Language School a better tomorrow in the song.

The spring festival rally couldn’t do without fabulous art performances. Thus, each department showcased their amazing programs in turn, which won applause from the audience. More noticeably, there were a great many colorful programs, such as dance, recitation, solo, instrumental performance and so on, which were novel and creative. Therefore, there was one climax after another during the show with numerous highlights, which not only constructed a festive, peaceful, harmonious and enterprising atmosphere, but also presented a gluttonous feast for the New Year. Teachers can reach the world if given a three feet platform. They can display their brilliance if given a stage. Here in Anqing Foreign Language School we have happiness, happy laughter and cheerful voices. We can dream our future and fly our dream in Anqing Foreign Language School.

Furthermore, at the New Year’s greeting party, the audience were touched and immersed in warmth during the award ceremony ‘Anqing Foreign Language School’s Top Ten Moving Figures in 2018’. All the teachers frequently saluted the award winners with warm applause.

To conclude, the Chinese New Year celebration party ended successfully in laughter and joy! We owe thanks to all the cast and crew for their hard work behind the scenes! The party showcased the passion and confidence of Anqing Foreign Language School’s teachers in welcoming the new era and starting off again. The New Year opens a new hope and the new journey carries a new dream. In 2019, let’s go hand in hand to create more brilliance!
